Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: August 31, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CodePocket (including our web application, workspace editor, code execution engine, and associated APIs), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you are using CodePocket on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the CodePocket platform.
2. Description of Service
CodePocket provides an online developer workspace equipped with Monaco editor, multi-language sandbox execution (including Node.js, TypeScript, Python, and C++), project file management, execution metrics, local drafts syncing, and GitHub integration.
We continuously evolve our platform and reserve the right to modify, upgrade, or temporarily suspend specific features or languages with reasonable notice.
3. User Accounts & Security
To access personalized workspaces and synchronize projects, you must register an account using email credentials or a supported OAuth provider (GitHub / Google).
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
- You must provide accurate, non-misleading account information.
4. Cloud Execution & Acceptable Use Policy
CodePocket provides computing resources to run developer code in secure sandboxes. You agree NOT to use CodePocket for any of the following prohibited activities:
Prohibited Executions:
- Cryptocurrency mining, botnet operations, or unauthorized compute harvesting.
- Executing malicious software, ransomware, trojans, or exploit payloads.
- Launching Denial-of-Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks or port scanning third-party infrastructure.
- Attempting to break container sandbox isolation or compromise host compute workers.
- Distributing phishing, spam, or unsolicited mass communications.
Violation of the Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate account termination, deletion of associated workspaces, and reporting to relevant legal authorities.
5. Intellectual Property & Code Ownership
Your Code Belongs To You:
You retain 100% ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights in and to any source code, scripts, and content you write or import into CodePocket. CodePocket claims zero ownership over your code.
CodePocket and its original branding, logos, user interface designs, and infrastructure components remain the exclusive intellectual property of CodePocket.
6. Resource Limits & Availability
To maintain fair performance for all developers, CodePocket enforces sandbox execution limits (e.g., maximum execution timeout of 10-30 seconds, memory limits, and concurrent run queues).
While CodePocket employs autosave and local draft persistence, developers are encouraged to use Git version control (via our GitHub integration) for important codebases.
7. GitHub & Third-Party Services
When you connect third-party accounts (such as GitHub) to import repositories or commit code, you are also bound by GitHub's Terms of Service and policies. CodePocket is not responsible for third-party service outages or API rate limit restrictions.
8. Termination
You may stop using CodePocket at any time and delete your workspaces. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Acceptable Use Policy or engage in abusive behavior.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
Provided “As Is”
CodePocket is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free execution. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CodePocket shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service.
10. Contact & Modifications
We may revise these Terms periodically. We will notify users of substantial changes by updating the “Last Updated” date above. If you have questions regarding these Terms, contact us:
